About Us

In September 2009, the translation and formatting team formerly known as CORE became FACITtrans. This transition from an academic venue to a business environment has significantly freed our group to be even more responsive and streamlined, permitting more effective response times and quicker turnaround for the deadline-driven pharmaceutical clinical trial industry. FACITtrans is affiliated with Inc., the licensor for the FACIT (Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy) Measurement System developed by David Cella, Ph.D. Dr. Cella is now the inaugural Chair of the newly-created Department of Medical Social Sciences (MSS) in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and the mutual staff of these two entities enjoy a close collaborative research relationship. Under the scientific direction of Dr. Cella, the outcomes scientists at MSS and the translation and formatting team of FACITtrans have world-class experience and expertise in translation and linguistic validation, outcomes research design, database development, multicenter data collection and management, psychometrics and statistics.
